THE RAJPUT MAGIC 

The magic begins at the beautiful pink city of Rajasthan - Jaipur which is also the capital of the state. We further proceed with the tour by visiting the holy town of Ajmer. This magical charm turns romantic in the beautiful romantic city of Udaipur with its breath taking sites. The magical wand then lands us in the lord Krishnas temple in Nathdwara and lord Shiva temple in Eklingji. Viewing these temples one acknowledges the history they narrate of the bygone era. Our magic wand poofs us back to Jaipur where it had all begun

ITINERARY

Day I – JAIPUR (VISIT TO THE JAIGARH & AMBER FORT)

·          On Arrival at Jaipur (built in 1727 A.D) you are given a traditional welcome by our representative.  There after you are transferred to the hotel.

·          We start the full day sight seeing tour of Jaipur – The pink city. uilt in 1799 A.D), then we proceed to the Jaigarh fort (the biggest cannon in India is here). In afternoon we proceed to the City palace (museum) & Jantar Mantar (a stone observatory).

·          We end our day by visiting some of the walled city bazaars, etc. Overnight at hotel.

        After a short break at the hotel, we leave for Chokhi Dhani, an ethnic Rajasthani village resort. Here you can experience the typical Rajasthani environment & enjoy Folk dances & music, Magic show, camel ride, bullock cart ride & most of all the delicious Rajasthani food.

Day II - JAIPUR (VISIT TO BIRLA TEMPLE & AN EXCURSION TO SAMdestinations_jaisalmer_2.jpg (15116 bytes)ODE) (1.5 HRS / 30 KMS)

·          We have today a visit to the Birla temple, Albert Museum & Govind deo ji temple. In late evening we will have a gala dinner at Chokhi Dhani (an ethnic Rajasthani restaurant) &  

·          In morning we leave for an excursion to Samode Palace (40 kms from Jaipur).  We have our Dinner at Samode only.  We reach back Jaipur by late evening.  Overnight at hotel.

Day III – JAIPUR - UDAIPUR (VENICE OF THE EAST)

·          Early morning we leave for Udaipur (the Venice of the east), en route we also visit the Holy city of Pushkar. We visit the famous Brahma & Savitri temple, the holy lake in Pushkar.  Late evening we reach Udaipur (founded in 1559 A.D by Maharana Udai Singh). Overnight at hotel.

Day IV –UDAIPUR (THE CITY OF LAKES)

·          We start our full day sight seeing of Udaipur city.  We first drive to the city palace (A majestic architectural marvel), and then we visit the Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum (it has a interesting collection of India folk dresses, ornaments, puppets, etc).  In afternoon we start for Saheliyon ki bari (garden of the maids of honour), Pratap memorial, Fateh sagar of Picholla Lake.

·          Overnight at hotel.

Day V – EXCURSION TO KUMBALGARH

·          After a light breakfast we start for an excursion to the perched atop the Aravalis.

·          Built in the 15th century by Maharana Kumbha, it extends over 12 kms and encloses many temples, palaces & gardens. The Badal Mahal offers or cloud palace offers a spectacular bird’s-eye view of the surrounding countryside.  At the day’s end we return to Udaipur and we have dinner at a renowned restaurant in the city’s suburbs.  Overnight at hotel.

 

 

Day VI –EXCURSION TO THE RANAKPUR TEMPLES

THE LAND OF JAIN TEMPLES

ranakpur.jpgRanakpur is located in the mountain ranges of Pali district, 23 kms. away from the Phalna railway station. Ranakpur is reached after passing lush green valleys and streams and the heart capturing views drive away any fatigue of the journey. The Ranakpur Jain Temple were built during the reign of the liberal and gifted monarch Rana Kumbha in the 15th century. An enormous basement covers 48,000 sq. feet area. There are four subsidiary shrines, twenty four pillared halls and eligibly domes supported by over four hundred columns. The total number of columns is 1,444 all of which are intricately carved no two being alike. The artistically carved nymphs playing the flute in various dance postures at a height of 45 feet are an engrossing sight. In the assembly hall, there are two big bells weighing 108 kgs. whose sound echoes in the entire complex.

Day VII - JAIPUR - THE PINK CITY

·          On the final day we start late in the day for Jaipur.

·          CATCH DOMESTIC FLIGHT/ TRAIN THE SAME / NEXT DAY (AS PER YOUR PROGRAM) FROM AIRPORT OR RAILWAY STATION, FOR YOUR NEXT DESTINATION / HOME TOWN.
